Who is Brandi McComb?
With over 35 years of experience in live performance, studio recording, touring, vocal instruction, and artist development, I bring a wealth of real-world knowledge to my coaching. I specialize in vocal health, breathing techniques, performance skills, and expanding vocal range, helping students build confidence and develop the tools they need to succeed on stage, in the studio, and beyond.
My passion for music began early. During my senior year, I was selected as a Top 12 Finalist in the Garland Country Music Association Scholarship Competition. In my early twenties, I competed in a statewide talent competition and earned 1st Runner-Up in the Texas Karaoke Finals, further solidifying my commitment to pursuing a professional career in music.
My professional career includes nearly a decade touring nationally and internationally with the legendary group Vince Vance & the Valiants as one of the lead Valianettes, performing under the stage name "Victoria." During those years, we traveled approximately 300 days a year, performing in venues ranging from the Superdome and the Super Bowl to the Waldorf Astoria and even the White House. I had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as Huey Lewis, James Brown, Harry Connick Jr., The Four Tops, Chubby Checker, and many others. My final major tour with the group was a 26-day USO tour supporting our military members overseas.
In addition to touring, I have extensive studio experience. I am featured on five Vince Vance & the Valiants albums, recorded radio jingles for TM Century in the late 1990s, and worked as a demo singer in Nashville for several years. I also provided vocals for the English-language release of the anime series Blue Gender as seen on Cartoon Network. Throughout my career with Vince Vance & the Valiants, I appeared on television numerous times, performing for audiences across the country. These experiences gave me valuable insight into both the recording industry and the demands of professional live performance.
Following my touring career, I spent 18 years leading my own successful band, ZuZu Peddals, continuing to perform throughout the region while honing my skills as a vocalist, entertainer, and bandleader.
I studied Music and Vocal Performance at Mountain View College in Dallas during the early 1990s, strengthening my technical foundation as a vocalist. More recently, I served as a Voice Instructor and Show Director at School of Rock for over three years, where I helped students develop their vocal abilities, stage presence, and confidence as performers.
Today, I work with a wide variety of singers, including contemporary vocalists, choir students, musical theater performers, singer-songwriters, praise and worship leaders, auditioning performers, and aspiring recording artists. My teaching approach blends proven vocal technique with practical performance experience, helping students strengthen their voices while developing artistry, confidence, and stage presence.
Born and raised in Garland and now a Rowlett resident for nearly a decade, I am passionate about sharing my love of music with students of all ages. Whether working with beginners, seasoned performers, children, or adults, my goal is to provide a supportive and encouraging environment where every student can grow, discover their unique voice, and achieve success both on and off the stage.
